Here’s a few tips on this beautiful Tuesday; If you get stung by a jellyfish, don’t get someone to pee on the sting. Urine or even fresh water can actually trigger more venom making the sting even worse. Carefully pluck out any tentacles and rinse with vinegar (according to Readers Digest, March 2019).
If you have a nosebleed, don’t tilt your head back which could make you swallow blood. Instead, tip your head slightly forward and pinch your nose shut for 10 minutes.
If someone gets a blow to the head and you suspect a concussion, it’s a good idea to keep the person awake and monitor symptoms. But after that, taking naps and getting plenty of sleep at night are recommended to aid recovery. AND of course, consult a doctor.
Tips are from Readers Digest, March 2019.
Enjoy the summer weather and be careful out there!
